Born and raised in Buffalo NY, I developed an interest in the visual world at an early age. People, businesses, architecture, and seasons held me in constant awe of the world around me. Watching my grandfather, in his basement darkroom, developing his black and white photos inspired my passion for photography. Boxes of old photos from the attic would consume me for hours back then, just as they do today. Consumed by the images, I would wonder how anyone could live without a camera near by.

After graduating college and joining the working world, I was finally able to purchase my own camera equipment. The maturing of the digital age of photography also freed me from costly film development. I now spend every day with my camera never out of reach. I constantly release the shutter to record almost everyday I live, everywhere I go, and everyone I meet.

Portraits are a great way to capture people at their idealized best, revealing that they can be a subject of art. Candid photography is a great way to capture moments in time and people in their natural environments. Both drive me to be the best I can be behind the lens. As I grow older and time gains momentum, I increasingly value every photo I have and wish I had more. Every fleeting moment an image is born and then lost forever.
